A community fundraiser later this month will benefit a planned comprehensive autism center in Crestview.

The Hub Comprehensive Autism Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by Gabrielle Griffith, owner of 850 Therapy, LLC. The center aims to bring services that families of autistic individuals often have to piece together across multiple providers and locations under one roof.

Planned services include occupational, physical and speech therapy, applied behavior analysis, autism evaluations, educational support, tutoring, social skills programming, life skills training, transition support and resources for parents and caregivers. The center is designed to serve individuals from early childhood through adulthood across Okaloosa, Walton, Santa Rosa and Escambia counties.

Griffith said the center is a response to the challenges families face navigating disconnected services.

  • “The goal is to create a place where families feel like they have somewhere to turn,” Griffith said. “We want children to be supported as individuals, and we want parents to feel like they are part of a community instead of having to figure everything out on their own.”

Building The Hub: An Evening Benefiting The Hub Comprehensive Autism Center is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 24, at The Barn at Water Oaks Farm in Laurel Hill. Doors open at 5 p.m.

The evening will include a catered dinner, live music by The Cheyenne Band, live and silent auctions, raffles and drinks. Guests will also have an opportunity to hear more about the vision behind The Hub.

“We really want people to come out and enjoy the night with us,” Griffith said. “It’s going to be a fun evening, but it’s also an opportunity for people to learn more about The Hub, why we believe it’s needed in our community and what we’re working to create for local families.”

General admission tickets are $65 per person and include dinner, live music and access to the auctions and raffles. A Date Night package for two is available for $150 and includes four drink tickets. A Community Celebration ticket is available for $40, with admission beginning at 8 p.m. for live music and the cash bar.

Funds raised during the event will directly support the development of The Hub Comprehensive Autism Center.

Tickets are available through the Building The Hub event page.

The Barn at Water Oaks Farm is located at 4080 Second Ave. in Laurel Hill. More information about The Hub is available at thehubautismcenter.org.
