Eglin AFB to conduct munitions testing in Gulf June 1-6

Air Force will conduct munitions testing in the Gulf June 1-6, requiring vessels to remain clear of a hazard zone south of Destin's East Pass.

The Air Force will conduct munitions testing in the Gulf from June 1-6, with operations running daily from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.

  • All vessels are required to remain clear of the active hazard zone during the tests, according to the Air Force.

The hazard zone begins approximately 10 nautical miles south of the Destin East Pass and extends to 16 nautical miles, reaching northwest to Santa Rosa Island.

Advisories and local notice to mariners will be broadcast on Channel 16 and on HF upper sideband 2182 KHz by the Eglin Joint Test and Training Operations Control Center.
