ERA American Real Estate to hand out American flags July 3 and 4 as Flag Season tradition continues

The real estate brokerage is welcoming neighbors to four of their Northwest Florida offices on July 3 and 4 to pick up an American flag for Independence Day.

ERA American Real Estate is inviting the community to stop by its Shalimar, Navarre/Gulf Breeze, Niceville and Crestview offices on July 3 and 4 to pick up an American flag, part of a Flag Season tradition the Shalimar-based brokerage has carried out for more than 40 years.

  • The tradition dates back to 1985, when founder Gloria Frazier launched the brokerage and placed 5,000 flags in Fort Walton Beach neighborhoods. It has since grown into a regional effort that now distributes 30,000 flags each year across Northwest Florida.

In 2023, the brokerage planted its one millionth American flag since the tradition began. ERA American Real Estate operates five offices across Northwest Florida, four of which are open for this year’s community flag pickup.

This season’s flag handouts have already taken agents into the community ahead of the holiday weekend.

“Flag Season is a celebration of the freedoms we enjoy and the patriotism that brings our communities together,” said Ramona Speer, an ERA American Real Estate agent. “Whether we’re handing out flags on Navarre Beach or throughout our neighborhoods, it’s a meaningful way to honor our country, show appreciation for the place we call home, and create lasting connections with neighbors and visitors alike.”

Earlier this month, ERA agents distributed flags at Props Craft Brewery in Hammock Bay.

“Flag Season is one of my favorite ERA American traditions because it gives us a chance to celebrate our country while connecting with our neighbors and community,” said Marcella Stefani, an agent with ERA American Real Estate. “Handing out flags earlier this month at Props Craft Brewery in Hammock Bay helps bring people together, creates meaningful conversations, and reminds us all of the pride we share in calling this area home.”

Community members are welcome to swing by any of the following ERA American Real Estate offices on July 3 and 4 to pick up a flag:

  • Shalimar: 4 9th Ave. E.
  • Navarre/Gulf Breeze: 5660 Gulf Breeze Pkwy., A3
  • Niceville: 409 E. John Sims Pkwy. #1
  • Crestview: 938 S. Ferdon Blvd.
