Today, Highway 98 east and westbound drivers will encounter intermittent lane closures near Santa Rosa Boulevard just east of Brooks Bridge between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.

  • The City of Fort Walton Beach says the closures will be all four lanes throughout the morning.

According to FDOT, the closures are required for the installation of power lines at this location. Law enforcement personnel and directional signage will be in place to safely direct drivers through the work zone.

Drivers are reminded to use caution when traveling through a work zone and to watch for construction workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.
