Missing 7-year-old paddleboarder found safe after multi-agency search

A 7-year-old boy who went missing while paddleboarding in Bluewater Bay has been found safe by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

  • Greyson Hardy was last seen by a family member paddleboarding near Rocky Creek by State Road 293 in Bluewater Bay, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.

The search involved multiple agencies, including the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Drone Unit, Florida Fish and Wildlife, North Bay Fire Department, U.S. Fish & Wildlife and Eglin Air Force Base personnel.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office had asked residents in the area to keep watch for the missing child and contact 911 or the sheriff’s office at 850-651-7400 with any information.

Hardy has since been located safely by Florida Fish and Wildlife personnel.
