North Walton Doctors Hospital has named Tyler Williams as its interim chief executive officer, the hospital announced Tuesday.

  • Williams, who holds a Master of Healthcare Administration, brings more than a decade of healthcare administration experience to the role, with a background in rural hospital operations, strategic growth and financial performance.

His appointment comes as the hospital enters a new strategic partnership with Aletheia Health Partners, which officials said is focused on strengthening operations, expanding access to services and supporting long-term sustainability.

“Naming Tyler Williams as interim CEO is an important step forward for North Walton Doctors Hospital as we begin this next chapter of growth,” said Dr. Jon Ward, senior executive for external relations. “Tyler brings the operational and financial expertise needed to help strengthen the hospital for the future, and through our new partnership with Aletheia Health Partners, we are better positioned to expand access to high-quality care while staying focused on the community we serve.”

Williams most recently served as chief financial officer for Stephens County Hospital, where he improved financial and operational performance, reduced short-term liabilities and returned the hospital to profitability, according to the hospital. Earlier in his career, he led quality improvement initiatives aimed at strengthening hospital operations and community healthcare access.

Eric Fisher, Chief Operating Officer of North Walton Doctors Hospital, said Williams is well-suited for the role.

  • “Tyler brings an innovative approach to leadership,” Fisher said. “His track record of strengthening healthcare organizations and driving sustainable growth makes him uniquely suited to lead the hospital as we continue investing in our future.”

Through the partnership with Aletheia Health Partners and under Williams’ leadership, the hospital plans to expand services, improve operations and maintain an independent community focus.

North Walton Doctors Hospital is a full-service, independently owned hospital serving North Walton County and surrounding communities. It offers a 24/7 emergency department along with surgical, diagnostic and specialty healthcare services.

“Outrageous! Now tell us the real story, major owners names, listing and selling agents, and who is the purchaser...why was this left out? Which ones are relatives of the mayor...”

“I concur. As a private citizen and potential buyer, if I chose to purchase property with the need for demolition, I’d be required to work out price with the owner,...”

“Agreed. Why are we spending public money so that someone will buy the property and exclude the public from it.”
