Okaloosa County Legislative Delegation sets new meeting date for Dec. 15

The public hearing, originally scheduled for Oct. 30, will now be held Dec. 15 at the Okaloosa County Administration Building.

Members of Okaloosa County’s State Legislative Delegation will hold a public hearing Dec. 15 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Okaloosa County Administration Building, 1250 Eglin Parkway, Shalimar.

  • The meeting was originally scheduled for Oct. 30 at the Destin City Council Chambers but was canceled due to scheduling conflicts.

The delegation will consider local bills, hear presentations from government entities and take public testimony on proposals for the 2026 regular session of the Florida Legislature.

The Okaloosa County Legislative Delegation consists of state Sen. Jay Trumbull, state Sen. Don Gaetz, state Rep. Nathan Boyles and state Rep. Patt Maney.

  • Any member of the public is welcome to attend the meeting.

Speaking time per person will depend on the number of speaking requests received. Officials indicated the allotted time will most likely be in the two-to-three-minute range.

Those planning to speak should contact Rep. Maney’s office at 850-904-1020 or email Ian.Thomson@flhouse.gov no later than 5 p.m. Dec. 8 to request an appearance form and be placed on the meeting agenda.
