The Okaloosa County School District is urging families new to the district to complete student registration early for the 2026-2027 school year, a step officials say helps schools prepare for the months ahead.
- According to the district, early registration ensures that staffing, resources, classroom planning and student support services are in place before the first day of school. All new students enrolling in Okaloosa County schools must complete online registration through the district’s FOCUS system. Returning students who are already enrolled in the district do not need to register again.
District officials describe the online registration process as quick, convenient and accessible for families preparing to join Okaloosa County schools.
“Welcoming new students and families into our schools is something we look forward to every year,” said Superintendent Marcus Chambers. “Registering early helps our schools prepare to meet the needs of every student from day one. It allows us to ensure classrooms, teachers, transportation, and support systems are ready so students can begin the school year in a positive and successful environment. We encourage families who are new to Okaloosa County to complete the registration process as soon as possible.”
The district is also asking community members to share registration information with families who may be new to the area or planning to enroll their children in Okaloosa County schools for the first time.
Families can view registration requirements and begin the online registration process by visiting the district’s student registration webpage.
