Okaloosa School District launches ‘Support to Soar,’ adopt-a-classroom initiative for Title I elementary schools

Community members can adopt classrooms at Title I elementary schools with monthly $100 contributions or one-time $1,200 donations.
Assistant Superintendent of Schools John Spolski unveils the "Support to Soar" initiative at the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce's First Friday Coffee (FWB Chamber)

The Okaloosa County School District has launched ‘Support to Soar,’ a community initiative aimed at providing essential classroom resources and healthy snacks to students at the county’s 15 Title I elementary schools.

  • The program, developed in partnership with the Crestview, Destin, Fort Walton Beach, and Niceville-Valparaiso Chambers of Commerce, invites businesses, organizations, and individuals to “Adopt-a-Classroom” through monthly contributions of $100 or one-time donations of $1,200.

“Support to Soar is a perfect example of what can happen when a community comes together to invest in its future,” said Superintendent Marcus Chambers. “We’re grateful to our Chamber partners for standing with our schools and helping meet the needs of our students.”

Each donation will support a classroom at one of the district’s Title I elementary schools, helping ensure students have the tools they need to succeed. The initiative is designed to help students thrive by providing essential classroom resources and healthy snacks.

Donors can choose a specific school or classroom to support and will receive recognition for their contribution. Community members interested in participating can contact Catherine Card at Catherine.Card@okaloosaschools.com for more information on how to get involved.
