The Okaloosa County School District’s Take Stock in Children program has earned Gold Level recognition and achieved the prestigious Luminary Award for earning a perfect score of 100% on the 2024-2025 Balanced Scorecard assessment from the state TSIC office.

  • This honor places Okaloosa among the top-performing TSIC programs statewide and reflects the dedication of mentors, College Success Coaches, and district staff who work to support at-risk students with scholarships, mentoring, and hope for a brighter future.

“This achievement is a direct reflection of the commitment of our mentors, coaches, and staff who are changing lives every day,” said TSIC Executive Director John Spolski. “Through Take Stock in Children, our students not only gain access to scholarships but also the encouragement and guidance that prepare them for long-term success.”

The recognition comes as part of a successful year for Take Stock in Children programs across Florida. The organization delivered over 137,000 mentoring sessions this year and awarded 41 Gold and three Silver Balanced Scorecard Awards.

A total of 38 affiliates, including Okaloosa, achieved the coveted Luminary Award status with a perfect 100% score on their assessments.
