Cox Communications customers across Okaloosa and Walton counties are now Spectrum customers.

• Charter Communications, which operates under the Spectrum brand, officially launched its products, pricing and packaging on Wednesday across all areas previously served by Cox, including Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties. The company called the rollout “Spectrum Day.”

The launch brings Spectrum’s full lineup to more than 11 million homes and businesses nationwide. It follows Charter’s completion of its acquisition of Cox in August, which made Spectrum the nation’s largest internet and video company.

Customers along the Gulf Coast will begin seeing Spectrum trucks, Spectrum stores and technicians in Spectrum uniforms, the company said, backed by the same internet, mobile and television service that existing Spectrum customers receive elsewhere.

“Bringing together two of America’s leading connectivity companies means one thing: more customers, from cities and suburbs to small towns and rural communities, get our Seamless Connectivity and TV with streaming value included,” said Adam Ray, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer for Spectrum. “And we’re not stopping there. We’re backing it all with simple pricing, real savings and service you can count on.”

What’s available now

Spectrum’s internet service comes with no data caps. Customers can bundle internet, Advanced WiFi and mobile service through what the company calls Spectrum One for a single price with no contracts.

Customers who bundle internet with two lines of Spectrum Mobile can save more than $1,000 in their first year through Spectrum’s Savings Guarantee, or the company covers the difference, according to Spectrum.

New and existing internet customers who did not previously have Cox Mobile service can receive a free year of Spectrum Mobile, plus up to $2,500 toward device financing for up to five lines when switching two or more lines.

Spectrum Mobile offers three unlimited plans, each priced per line with at least two lines:

• Unlimited: As low as $30 per month per line.
• Unlimited Plus: As low as $40 per month per line.
• Unlimited Plus Premium: As low as $50 per month per line.

Television plans

Spectrum’s television plans include up to $131 per month in streaming app value at no additional cost, the company said. The Spectrum TV App allows customers to stream live channels at home and on the go, while the Xumo Stream Box brings live TV and streaming together on one screen.

Available plans for the first year include:

• TV Lite: 85 or more channels starting at $40 per month.
• Stream TV Signature: 150 or more channels plus HBO Max, Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Unlimited, Paramount+, Peacock, AMC+, FOX One, Discovery+ and ViX starting at $100 per month.
• Stream TV Pro: 160 or more channels, including everything in Stream TV Signature plus NFL Network, NBA TV, MLB Network, NHL Network and Tennis Channel, starting at $110 per month.
• Stream TV VIP: 230 or more channels, including everything in Stream TV Pro plus Sports View with NFL RedZone and Entertainment Pack+, starting at $145 per month.
• TV Latino: 45 or more Spanish-language channels, including Univision, Telemundo and UniMas, starting at $25 per month.
• Stream TV Latino Mas: 170 or more channels, including 70 or more Spanish-language options alongside English-language favorites, plus ViX and Paramount+, starting at $75 per month.

Service commitments coming to local customers

Spectrum said customers in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties will in the future gain access to the company’s Customer Commitment, which includes around-the-clock customer service from a 100% U.S.-based team, same-day technician dispatch for requests made before 5 p.m. and credits for service outages lasting longer than two hours.

The company said it will fully transition Cox’s customer service function to the United States over the next 18 months.

More than 5 million Cox residential and business customers are now part of Spectrum’s network, which the company said reaches more than 70 million homes and businesses across 45 states.
