City of Mary Esther to host Veterans Day parade and festival Tuesday

The City of Mary Esther will hold its annual Veterans Day parade at 1 p.m. Tuesday, with road closures in effect from noon to 2 p.m.

The City of Mary Esther’s Veterans Day celebration will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Santa Rosa Mall parking lot on Tuesday, Nov. 11, featuring live entertainment, food trucks and children’s activities including face painting and touch-a-truck experiences.

  • The parade begins at 1 p.m. and will honor local veterans.

Several roads will be closed during the event. Southbound Mary Esther Boulevard will close from Anchors Street to Hollywood Boulevard. Page Bacon Road will also close, along with westbound lanes of Hollywood Boulevard from Mary Esther Boulevard to the south Santa Rosa Mall entrance.

Deputies from the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office will redirect southbound traffic on Mary Esther Boulevard west along Anchors Street during the closure.

The sheriff’s office is encouraging drivers to use alternate routes and expect delays in the area.
