Destin mayor to host fireside chat on state legislative changes

Mayor Bobby Wagner will discuss new bills and budgets affecting local businesses and residents at the free event.

Destin Mayor Bobby Wagner will host a fireside chat Wednesday to discuss recent Florida state legislative changes and their potential impact on local businesses and community residents.

The free event is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. at Beachworx Destin, located at 34990 Emerald Coast Parkway.

Wagner characterized the recent legislative session as particularly active, saying it has implications for the local community.

“Florida State Legislature has been a crazy year this year, and there’s a lot of new bills, budgets, and things that you as a business owner or local should know about,” Wagner said in a video announcement.

The mayor plans to use the session to help attendees understand how the changing state legislature could affect communities and businesses in the area.
