Eglin Air Force Base cancels testing, road closures for Wednesday

Eglin Air Force Base has cancelled scheduled testing that would have closed two major roads Wednesday morning.

Eglin Air Force Base has cancelled testing that was scheduled for June 4, eliminating the need for planned road closures on Highway 85 and State Road 123.

  • The 96th Test Wing had originally planned to conduct testing on the Eglin Test Complex that would have required closing both highways between 9 a.m. and noon Wednesday.

The roads were expected to be closed for no more than a 90-minute period, though multiple closures were possible within that timeframe.

The base has now cancelled the press release announcing the testing and road closures. No reason was given for the cancellation.
