Niceville announces road, boat ramp closures for July 4th celebration

City officials close Bayshore Drive and Lions Park boat ramp to accommodate Independence Day festivities and ensure public safety.

The city of Niceville will close Bayshore Drive and the boat ramp at Lions Park on Friday, July 4, 2025, to accommodate the annual Fourth of July celebration.

Bayshore Drive will be closed from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on July 4. During the closure, through traffic will be limited to pedestrians and residents only. The city has designated handicap-accessible entrances and detailed closure routes, which are available on an attached map referenced in the announcement.

  • The boat ramp at Lions Park will be closed for a longer period, from 12 a.m. to 10 p.m. on July 4.
