The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island rings in 2026 with fireworks, free celebration

The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island will host a free New Year's Eve celebration Dec. 31 featuring fireworks, live music and dining at three waterfront restaurants.

The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island will host a free New Year’s Eve celebration on Dec. 31, offering families and visitors an evening of live music, dancing and a 9 p.m. fireworks display over the beach.

The family-friendly event welcomes guests of all ages to ring in 2026 with a complimentary champagne toast and entertainment throughout the evening.

  • Attendees can dine at three participating restaurants — Rockin Tacos, The Crab Trap and Floyd’s Shrimp & Steak House — each offering New Year’s Eve specials and front-row views of the fireworks. 

Guests may choose to watch the fireworks from any of The Boardwalk’s restaurants or spread out along the beach for viewing as 2025 comes to a close.

Admission to the celebration is free, and on-site parking is available. Additional information about the event can be found on the Facebook event page.
